انظروا أية محبة أعطانا الآب

حتي ندعي أولاد الله

Behold what manner of love

the Father has bestowed on us,

that we should be called children of God!

(1 John 3: 1)

 

هذا هو السبب الذي لأجله ندعوه في الصلاة أبًا

لا لنتذكّر نعمته فحسب

وإنما من أجل الفضيلة فلا نفعل شيئًا غير لائق بعلاقة كهذه

القدّيس يوحنا الذهبي الفم

 

This is why we call Him Father in prayer,

and that not only to remind ourselves of the grace,

but also of virtue,

that we may not do aught

unworthy of such a relationship.
