إن كان للشيطان هذه القدرة أن يطرحك أرضًا من العلو الشامخ والفضيلة السامية، إلى أبعد حدود الشر؛ فكم بالأكثر جدًا يكون الله قادرًا أن يرفعك إلى الثقة السابقة، ولا يجعلك فقط كما كنت، بل أسعد من ذى قبل. القديس يوحنا الذهبي الفم
If the devil has got that ability to knock you down from your exalted virtue to such great limits of evil; so how much more would be God’s ability to restore you to your previous confidence? He would not only get you back to what you used to be, but to a far better status. (St. John Chrysostom)
