Is there anything more terrifying than the devil? Yet, the only effective shield against him is faith, being an unseen shield against an unseen enemy, who aims an assortment of arrows in the middle of the night, toward those who are not careful. But, as he is an unseen enemy, we have in faith an effective weapon. (St. Cyril of Jerusalem)
